Sgraffito
A split-tone, material-zoned interface system for ceramics studios, repair workshops and small-batch craft commerce: terracotta clay, combed bone plaster and matte black fields divided by sweeping S-curves and mended with a thin gold seam.
Concept
Every key screen is a broken plaster relief that has been repaired. One sweeping S-curve (two on dense screens) splits the page into a flat terracotta clay field, a bone plaster band combed with fine ridges and a matte black field combed in tight arcs. A thin, slightly wobbling gold seam runs along every boundary and doubles as the system's progress line: ink where the work is unfinished, gold where it has been mended. Depth comes from carved texture and inset panels, never from shadows.
