Intaglio

Concept

Intaglio treats the interface as a printing plate rather than a stack of floating cards. Every division is a line cut into the surface: hairline rules, incised wells, and CSS hatch shading stand in for shadow and blur, so nothing ever hovers. Inscriptional capitals set in a glyphic serif carry all headings, a plain grotesque handles reading and controls, and the marigold accent is only ever poured across whole blocks, never dabbed on as a tint. The result reads like a naturalist's survey plate given a working keyboard: patient, precise, warm with age, and completely flat.
