Concept

Caliper treats the interface like a measurement instrument. Everything sits on a near-black field organized by 1px hairline grids, with information rendered in pure achromatic grays and a single pure-white signal. The signature devices are radial tick-mark gauges and vertical grayscale spectrum bars that turn data into calibrated readouts. Typography is a clean, precise grotesque paired with a technical monospace for readouts and bracketed labels. No hue is ever introduced; contrast, luminance steps, and crisp geometry carry the entire system.
